I collect and use certain personal information about you. When I do this, I must follow data protection laws in the European Union and the United Kingdom. I am responsible as the ‘controller’ of that personal information under these laws.

This privacy policy explains how I collect and use your personal data when you use this website. This includes data you give when you fill out a contact form, sign up for information, buy a product or service, or enter a competition. 

This website isn't for children, and I don't knowingly collect data about them.

It is important that the personal data I hold about you is accurate and current. Please let me know if your personal data changes.

The data I collect about you

Personal data, or personal information, is any detail about a person that can identify them. It does not include data from which the identity has been removed (anonymous data).

I may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you as follows:

  • Identity Data: first name, last name, title, date of birth and gender.

  • Contact Data: billing address, delivery or postal address, email address, and telephone numbers.

  • Financial Data: bank account and payment card details.

  • Transaction Data: details about payments to and from you, and details of products and services you have bought from me.

  • Technical Data: your IP address, login details, browser type and version, time zone, location, operating system, platform, and other tech used to access this website. 

  • Profile Data: your purchases, orders, interests, preferences, feedback, and survey answers.  

  • Usage Data: information about how you use my website, products and services. 

  • Marketing and Communications Data: your choices for receiving marketing from me and others, along with how you prefer to communicate.

I also collect, use and share Aggregated Data such as statistical or demographic data. Aggregated Data comes from your personal data. However, it is not seen as personal data by law because it doesn’t directly or indirectly reveal who you are.

Sensitive Data

Sensitive data refers to data that includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data, and criminal convictions and offences. 

I do not collect any sensitive data about you.

How I collect your personal data

I use different methods to collect data from and about you including through:

  • Direct interactions: You may share your Identity, Contact and Financial Data by filling out forms or by reaching out to me by phone, email or other methods. This includes personal data you provide when you (where applicable):

    • apply for my products or services

    • subscribe to my service

    • request marketing to be sent to you

    • enter a competition, promotion or survey, or

    • give me feedback or contact me. 

  • Automated technologies or interactions: When you use my website, I might automatically gather Technical Data about your device, browsing actions, and patterns. I collect this personal data by using cookies and other similar technologies. Please see my cookie policy for more details.

  • Analytics: I may get technical personal data about you from analytics providers. I may receive Contact, Financial and Transaction Data from providers of technical, payment and delivery services.

How I use your personal data

I will only use your personal data when the law allows me to. I will primarily use your personal data in the following circumstances:

  • Where I need to perform the services you have contracted

  • When needed for my legitimate interests or a third party's, and your rights don't outweigh these interests.

  • Where I need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.

  • To keep you updated about my products and services where you have consented to this.  I will send this information to you by email. You can withdraw your consent for marketing anytime. Just contact me or click the ‘unsubscribe’ button in my marketing emails.

Marketing 

I aim to give you options about how I use your personal data, especially for marketing and advertising. Where I use your personal data for marketing communications, this happens based on your consent, or legitimate interests, which helps me grow my business. 

Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, I may send you marketing messages if (i) you bought something or asked for information about my goods or services, or (ii) you agreed to receive marketing messages and haven’t opted out since.

If you're a limited company, I can send you marketing emails without needing your consent. But, you can still opt out of receiving marketing emails from me at any time. 

Promotional offers

I may use your Identity, Contact, Technical, Usage, and Profile Data to understand what you may want, or what might interest you. This is how I decide which products, services and offers may be relevant for you. 

You will get marketing messages from me if you asked for information or bought goods or services. This is only if you didn't opt out of receiving them.

Third-party marketing

I do not share your personal data with any third parties for marketing purposes.

Opting out

You can ask me to stop marketing messages whenever you want. Just follow the opt-out links in any message, or contact me directly. 

Cookies

You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when websites set or access cookies. If you turn off cookies or don’t accept them, some parts of this website might not work or be available. For more information about the cookies I use, please see my cookie policy.

Third-party links

This website includes links to third-party websites, plug-ins, and applications. Clicking those links or enabling those connections might let third parties collect or share information about you. I do not control these third party websites and am not responsible for their privacy statements. I use:

Change of purpose 

I will use your personal data only for the reasons I collected it. If I think I need to use it for something else, I will make sure it fits with the original purpose. 

I may process your personal data without you knowing or agreeing, as allowed by law and the rules above.

I might need to share your personal data with the parties listed below. This is for the reasons shown in the table above in 'Purposes for which I will use your personal data':

  • External third parties such as service providers, professional advisers, HMRC and regulators; and

  • Third parties to whom I may choose to sell, transfer, or merge parts of my business or my assets. If my business changes hands, the new owners might use your personal data as described in this privacy policy. 

All third parties must keep your personal data safe and follow the law when they handle it. I do not let our third-party service providers use your personal data for their own reasons. They can only process your data for clear purposes and follow my instructions.

International transfers

I do not transfer your personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA).

Data security

I have set up security measures to stop your personal data from being lost, used, accessed without permission, changed, or shared. I also limit access to your personal data. 

I have set up steps to handle any suspected data breaches. I will notify you and any relevant regulator where I am legally required to do so.

Data retention

I will keep your personal data only as long as needed to meet the reasons why it was collected. This includes any legal, accounting, or reporting needs. I might keep your personal data longer if there's a complaint or if there could be legal action regarding our relationship.

To decide how long to keep personal data, I look at:

  • The amount, nature, and sensitivity of the data

  • The risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure

  • The reasons I process your data and whether I can meet those needs in other ways

  • Any legal requirements that apply

I must keep basic information about my clients for six years after they stop being clients. This includes Contact, Identity, Financial, and Transaction Data. This is required by law for tax purposes.

If you are not a customer, I will retain your data for 2 years following your last engagement with me.

I may anonymise your personal data in some cases. This means it can’t be linked to you. I might use this data for research or analytics. Once anonymised, I can use it indefinitely without notifying you. 

Your legal rights

In some situations, you have rights under data protection laws regarding your personal data:

  • Request access to your personal data.

  • Request correction of your personal data.

  • Request the erasure of your personal data.

  • Object to the processing of your personal data.

  • Request the restriction of processing your personal data.

  • Request the transfer of your personal data.

  • Right to withdraw consent.

You will not normally have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights). If you make a request, I have one month to respond to you. I may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive, or excessive. Or I may refuse to comply with your request in these circumstances.

I may change this privacy policy from time to time – when I do, it will be updated on my website.
